<p>We invite you to take part in the Seventh Scientific and Technical Conference "Corrosion in the Oil and Gas Industry", which will be held on September 05-07, 2023 in Samara at the Holiday Inn Samara Hotel.</p>
<p>Traditionally, the conference will address the following issues:</p>
<ul>
<li>Complications arising from the extraction and processing of oil and gas. Results of studies of the causes of equipment failures.</li>
<li>The choice of materials for pipes and equipment for the development of oil and gas fields, depending on the complicated operating conditions, including for environments containing H2S and CO2.</li>
<li> Modern alternative materials for the manufacture of pipes and field equipment for the oil and gas industry, features of their manufacturing technology;</li>
<li> Results of Pilot Tests as Applicability Criteria for New Materials.</li>
</ul>
<p>
Modern realities of the oil and gas industry dictate new conditions. One of the innovative practices is the use of polymeric materials as alternative solutions for the development of oil and gas fields. However, polymer materials by their nature are viscoelastic media and, unlike other materials, such as metals, their properties change markedly depending on temperature, the current environmental load, and the influence of chemical agents. Therefore, the current issue today is the development of regulatory and technical documentation and evaluation methods that allow ranking polymer products of various designs by application, depending on the operating conditions and the aggressiveness of the transported media.
</p>
<p>
In connection with the emerging trend in the oil industry towards the development of technology for injecting CO2 into the reservoir, which allows not only to increase the oil recovery of the reservoir, but also solves the problems of decarbonization, there is a need to select the optimal material design and technical solutions to ensure the reliability of the pipeline infrastructure during the operation of fields with increased concentration of CO2 in the extracted products. We consider it necessary to discuss the issues of CO2 corrosion, inhibition of production facilities, monitoring of corrosion manifestations, as well as the development of a methodology for choosing the optimal material design for the development of such deposits.
