The Vth Science and Technology Conference “Corrosion in the Oil and Gas Industry”, which the personnel of IT-Service LLC worked hard to prepare and hold, is over.
The purpose of the Conference was to provide a platform for discussing issues related to corrosion of the oil and gas infrastructural facilities.
In the course of two days representatives of such major iron and steel companies as PAO «TMK», PAO «OMK», PAO «SEVERSTSL», as well as of manufacturers of polymer tubular goods («MIMIR Engineering» and GK «Intratool»), spoke about their latest developments and answered questions from representatives of oil companies, such as «Rosneft», «Gaspeomneft», «Irkutsk Oil Company», «Sladkovsko-Zarechnoye» («Neftisа» Group), «Bitex» ( MOL Group), as well as of such companies of the «Gasprom » Group as «Gasprom Dobycha Urengoi», «Gasprom Dobycha Noyabrsk» and «Achimgas». Other important participants in the Conference were such Higher Education Establishments as NITU «MISSiS», and Technical Universities of St Petersburg, Samara, Penza, and Togliatti), as well as such research institutes as TSNIITMASH and TSNIICHERMET.
Thirty six reports were presented and discussed in the course of the Conference. Lively discussions continued even on the Conference sidelines. Those of the guests who had arrived earlier than the other participants, had an exciting boat trip to the confluence of the rivers Volga and Samara to admire the gorgeous sunset over the two rivers’ valley.
